Why is floating ball valve called floating ball valve? Here are some tips.
A ball valve without a fixed shaft is called a floating ball valve. There are two seat sealing rings in the body of floating ball valve, and a ball is clamped between them. There is a hole in the ball. The diameter of the through-hole is slightly less than the inner diameter of the pipe. The ball can rotate freely in the seat seal ring with the help of the stem. When opening, the ball hole is aligned with the diameter of the pipe, which ensures the minimum resistance of the pipe working medium. When the stem turns 1/4 turn, the ball hole is perpendicular to the valve channel, and the ball is pressed tightly against the valve seat seal ring at the outlet end by the pre-tightening force and medium pressure added to the two seat sealing rings, thus ensuring the valve is completely sealed. The floating ball valve is a single-side forced seal.
